First-time and nonviolent chemically dependent offenders are frequently recommended for treatment instead of incarceration.The Judiciary and Legal Professionals in Residence Program at Hanley Center offers two days of intensive training designed to provide insight for Judges and Legal Professionals about the disease of addiction.
Participants witness the impact that addiction has on individual lives and stages of recovery.
Interaction with clients, discussions with staff, and presentation from legal and addiction professionals from various disciplines provide information and training to supplement participants' knowledge and skills as Officers of the Court.
