
Physicians and Medical Professionals in Residence Program
The Physicians in Residence Program at Hanley Center offers 2 days of intensive training designed to educate healthcare professionals about the disease of addiction.Participants witness the impact that substance abuse has on individual lives and the beginning stages of recovery. Latest trends in research are presented along with clinical models of treatment found to be most effective in addressing the disease.
Discussions with staff and presentations from addiction professionals in various disciplines provide information and training to supplement participants’ knowledge and skills as healthcare providers.
There is no cost to the individual. Air travel, ground transportation, and hotel accommodations are underwritten by an educational grant through the Hanley Center Foundation. All meals while on campus are included.
Up to 15.5 Category 1 AMA PRA credits are available upon completion of the program.

The prior Physician and Medical Professional in Residence was well attended by physicians from around the nation.
The Physicians in Residence Program at Hanley Center provides a unique opportunity to observe the actual treatment process along with presentations by clinical staff related to interventions. On both days, participants observe the Multidisciplinary Treatment Team as it provides staff with critical information in the management of treatment care.
