Detox Period

At Hanley Center, the typical length of stay in the detox unit is 24-48 hours but may be longer. A nurse or doctor evaluates each patient until he or she completes the detoxification process and is stable enough to move into a recovery unit.

Once a patient has moved into a recovery unit, he or she will return to the detox unit for evaluation of his or her vital signs prior to receiving each dosage of detox medications (if still prescribed).
