Intensive Outpatient Program for Substance Abuse and Addiction
Hanley Center's Intensive Outpatient Program is an 8-week program that provides comprehensive treatment for individuals suffering from alcoholism and substance abuse. The Intensive Outpatient Program enables you to seek treatment for your addiction while continuing to work and take care of your family. The Intensive Outpatient Program is available through the Center for Outpatient Services at Hanley Resource Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Hanley Center offers a complimentary 30 minute consultation and needs assessment for all individuals considering the Intensive Outpatient Program. Following the assessment, you will be assigned a primary addiction therapist who will work with you through the course of your treatment in weekly individual session(s).
In addition, you will participate in a minimum of 9 hours of group and individual counseling per week (3 days per week, 3 hours per day). The cost for the Intensive Outpatient Program is $3,600.
Group Therapy
Groups meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and include:
- Men's and Women's Group: This gender-specific group addresses the psychological issues faced in early recovery from drug and alcohol abuse. Through group discussion and structured exercises, you will gain insight into the complexities of emotional barriers and established dysfunctional behavior patterns that can prevent healthy relationships with yourself and others.
The sessions focus on overcoming stress, establishing emotional well-being, and implementing the 12 Steps in daily living. - Education/Process Group: This group addresses issues faced in the early stages of recovery from drug and alcohol abuse. Films, lectures, and guest speakers with structured exercises provide basic education that focuses on the disease of addiction and the recovery process.
- Relapse Prevention Group: This group studies the implementation of the 12 Steps in daily living, with emphasis on relapse prevention that is essential in early recovery.
- Spirituality Group: This group provides guidance on defining spirituality in the 12 Step program. The goal is to help you recognize a possible spiritual need and, if needed, begin the healing process.
- Individual Therapy: Each week you will meet with your primary counselor for 90 minutes of individual therapy scheduled at a mutually agreed-upon time.
