Our Commitment to You
Hanley Center is proud of our relationships with our professional referents and the work we do together to combat addiction. With the appropriate consent, your patient’s primary therapist will provide regular progress reports to you and the approved loved ones. This includes collaborating on plans both during and after treatment that support life long recovery from addiction. Our team will present you with a copy of your patient’s discharge summary and continuing care plan, and we are happy to meet any other needs you may have along the way.
Specialized Services
We have worked in addiction and recovery for over 35 years. Hanley’s programs offer specialized services designed to provide a long-term solution to addiction. Our addiction treatment programs include inpatient residential and intensive outpatient. Through evidence-based interventions and techniques, Hanley offers a clinically robust model of patient-driven care for older adults and adult men and women, with a focus on individual and family recovery. We offer age and gender-specific treatment options and provide highly individualized treatment.
Residential Mental Health Program
Our Residential Mental Health Program is an intimate experience, with only eight available beds, so patients can experience the time and attention they deserve. We help adults, and older adults successfully transition back to lives, homes, families, and careers with a newfound sense of self-worth, direction, and control. Our comprehensive clinical approach focuses on long-term recovery and addresses trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. Knowing that one of the struggles mental health patients often experience is finding good continuing care after leaving a residential or stabilization program, our patients leave Hanley Center’s Residential Mental Health Program and directly access ongoing services through their dedicated case manager. This ensures they can continue the journey they started with a team they feel safe with and have grown to trust. This continuing care plan may include individual therapy, ongoing family support, marriage or couples counseling, psychiatric referrals, medication management, and self-care techniques to ensure a safe recovery environment.

The admissions process can be completed the same day as your call, and our admissions team is available 24/7. Every patient is assigned an admissions specialist who works closely with referring professionals to coordinate admission of your patient into our programs. Fully Integrated Counseling, Psychology, and Psychiatry Departments
We rely on proven interventions that attend to the various dimensions of well-being for every patient at every level. Our treatment model combines clinical and cutting-edge medical modalities within the timeless 12-Step paradigm. We offer fully integrated counseling, psychology, and psychiatry departments to help our patients and their loved ones recover from addiction. Hanley includes rigorous assessment and psychological testing in each treatment plan, as well as a range of therapies designed to address barriers to long-term success.
Medical Care for Chronic and
Acute Health Concerns
Hanley Center’s medical team provides unparalleled care for both acute and chronic health concerns and illnesses. We offer state-of-the-art medical detoxification services at Hanley Center. Board-certified physicians, addiction psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses make up our team are they trained to handle high acuity co-morbid conditions. Every one of Hanley’s patients has access to our world-class nursing team, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. We are able to take on medically complex cases most facilities would turn away. Hanley Center is also adjacent to St. Mary’s Medical Center for urgent care or other specialty needs.
Sophisticated Care for Co-occurring Disorders, Including Trauma
Our fully licensed staff are trained to treat co-occurring disorders and pathology. We have specialized competence and extensive experience to treat chemical dependency alongside trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and thought and mood disorders. Our licensed therapists and highly-credentialed master’s level clinicians are trained in many modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). From executive leadership to support staff, every team member at Hanley Center is trained to foster a trauma-informed treatment environment.
Center for Brain Recovery (CBR)
Led by a licensed psychologist, our Center for Brain Recovery offers rigorous psychological testing and evidence-based interventions to heal the brain at a cellular level. The testing we may offer at the Center for Brain Recovery includes Cambridge Brain Sciences Cognitive Assessment, Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2), Central Nervous System Vital Signs (CNSVS), and PsychEval Personality Questionnaire (PEPQ). More rigorous testing is made available to all patients if necessary.
Specific therapies offered through CBR include neurofeedback, biofeedback, neurotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, meditation and mindfulness training, and psychoeducational groups.
Intensive Family Programming
At Hanley Center’s Family Program, each family is assigned a therapist trained in complex family systems that will help them through their journey. We offer an intensive five-day family program that includes family group therapy sessions, individual sessions, and interaction with our Alumni Care Team. No matter what the family dynamic, we can provide a clear path to healing.
True 12-Step Immersion
Our treatment culture is deeply rooted in the 12-Steps, which have consistently been shown to be an effective foundation for lasting sobriety in the lives of millions. Our recovery specialists help restore the spiritual dimension of wellness by providing an intense immersion in the time-honored 12-Step program. Our 12-Step curriculum is driven by men and women who are active in their own recovery and workbooks specifically designed to enhance 12-Step study and practice. Patients at Hanley Center do more than learn about the 12-Steps – they have a personal, authentic experience with them.
