Psychiatric Services

We know that symptoms of different mental health disorders can coexist. At Hanley Center, we offer a dedicated staff of mental health professionals who are committed to your mental and emotional recovery. Hanley Center provides a wide range of psychiatric interventions to restore your emotional and mental wellness.

We understand that mental health is influenced by both biological and psychological factors and so we offer psychiatric services in concert with counseling and other supports as part of a whole-person approach. Psychiatry is the branch of healthcare that is involved with addressing the biological, as well as psychological, roots of mental health concerns. While not everyone needs medication, taking care of our brain as an organ is just as important as taking care of any other organ, and sometimes medication is an important part of that.  At Hanley Center, specially trained healthcare professionals will work with you and other counseling and support professionals to create the best comprehensive plan for your health and wellness, including assessing whether or not medication might be an important part of that plan.

For those with substance use disorders (SUD), some medicines often used in psychiatry may make problems worse.  It is important that psychiatric practitioners are familiar with the unique aspects of working with substance use disorders. At Hanley Center, all of our psychiatric professionals have experience working with patients who have experienced substance use disorders. We are sensitive to those needs and have the tools to help patients with or without SUD clear a path to the future that they are looking for.
