Assess
During your call, we’ll complete a free, confidential telephone assessment to better understand your history, symptoms, and current needs. This includes reviewing substance use patterns, mental health concerns, medical history, and any prior treatment experiences.
Our goal is to ensure that Hanley Center is the right clinical fit for you or your loved one, whether that means residential addiction treatment, our Residential Mental Health Program, an appropriate level of outpatient care, or a referral to a provider that meets your specific needs.
Admit
Once approved by our medical team and when you are ready to admit, our admissions team can coordinate the details. This may include arranging airport transportation or a sober escort if needed.
We’ll guide you through what to bring, what to expect on arrival, and how to prepare, so you can focus on healing.

Does Hanley Center treat both addiction and mental health disorders?
Yes. Hanley Center treats substance use disorders, primary mental health disorders, and co-occurring conditions. We offer specialized residential addiction treatment as well as a boutique Residential Mental Health Program for individuals who do not have an active substance use disorder.
Can I come to Hanley Center for mental health treatment only?
Yes. Our Residential Mental Health Program is designed for individuals experiencing conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, trauma, OCD, and other mental health concerns, without requiring a substance use diagnosis.
How long does the admissions process take?
In many cases, the admissions process can be completed in a single phone call. Our team works quickly to assess your needs, verify benefits when applicable, and coordinate admission, often within 24 hours, depending on availability and clinical urgency.
Will I have one point of contact during admissions?
Yes. From your first call through arrival on campus, you’ll work with a personal Admissions Specialist who coordinates care, answers questions, and ensures continuity throughout the process.
Does Hanley Center accept insurance?
Hanley Center works with many private insurance plans and accepts out-of-network benefits. Our admissions team can verify your coverage and explain any potential out-of-pocket costs. Please note that we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.
