A Faith-Informed Path to Healing

At Hanley Center, we understand that recovery is deeply personal, and it includes healing of the whole person: physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual. Our clinical care is rooted in evidence-based practices that recognize the important role that faith can play in fostering hope, meaning, and connection.

For patients who wish to incorporate a Christian perspective into their recovery journey, Hanley Center offers a Christian Track, a voluntary enhancement that supports spiritual growth alongside comprehensive addiction treatment.

This offering is not a separate program or a replacement for care. Rather, it is an additional layer of support, thoughtfully integrated into our existing treatment model for those who seek it.

A Voluntary and Inclusive Experience

Participation in the Christian Track is entirely optional. Every patient at Hanley Center continues to receive the same high level of medical, clinical, and therapeutic care, regardless of whether they choose to participate.

The track is designed to be inclusive and welcoming. While it is rooted in Christian teachings, it is not specific to any denomination, and individuals do not need to identify as Christian to take part. Some participants come with a strong faith background, while others are simply curious about exploring their spirituality in a new way during recovery.

What matters most is a willingness to reflect, grow, and engage in the process.

What the Christian Track Includes

Patients who choose to participate receive a structured workbook that guides them through key themes of recovery and spiritual growth. Each chapter weaves together scripture, storytelling, and personal reflection in a way that feels accessible and relevant to modern life.

Throughout the program, participants are invited to consider how concepts such as surrender, forgiveness, purpose, and grace intersect with their recovery journey.

In addition to independent reflection, participants gather once a week in the Hanley Center Chapel for a facilitated group process. These sessions offer a space to share insights, ask questions, and connect with others who are exploring similar themes. The group dynamic often becomes a meaningful source of support, as participants realize they are not alone in their questions, struggles, or discoveries.

Integrating Faith with Clinical Excellence

At Hanley Center, the Christian Track is part of a comprehensive, evidence-based treatment program. Patients continue to participate fully in all core services, including individual therapy, group therapy, 12-Step work, psychiatric care, and holistic wellness offerings.

This integration ensures that this track enhances, rather than replaces, the clinical work necessary for lasting recovery.

Our approach reflects a belief that healing happens on multiple levels. By addressing the mind, body, and spirit together, patients can build a more grounded and sustainable foundation for recovery.

Who May Benefit

The Christian Track may resonate with individuals who feel drawn to explore questions of meaning, purpose, and faith as they navigate recovery. For some, this may be a return to long-held beliefs. For others, it may be the first time they have considered spirituality as part of their healing.

There is no expectation of prior knowledge or religious commitment, only an openness to reflection and growth.

Is the Christian Track required for treatment at Hanley Center?
No. The Christian Track is completely voluntary and is offered as an optional enhancement to the standard treatment program.
Does participating in the Christian Track replace other therapies?
No. Patients continue to receive full clinical care, including therapy, medical support, and 12-Step programming. The Christian Track is an additional layer of support.
Do I have to be Christian to participate?
No. While the track is rooted in Christian teachings, it is open to individuals of all backgrounds. You do not need to identify as Christian or belong to a specific denomination.
What does a typical week in the program look like?
Participants complete guided workbook reflections during the week and attend a weekly group session in the chapel, where they discuss insights, questions, and personal experiences related to the material.
How does faith help in addiction recovery?
For many individuals, faith can provide a sense of purpose, hope, and connection. It can also support emotional healing, components of long-term recovery.
