Center for Women's Recovery

Alcoholism and substance abuse destroys women’s lives by damaging family relationships and straining careers. At the Center for Women's Recovery, we believe that women have gender-specific issues that are often rooted in societal values that mold the stereotypical image of the "American woman".

Many women turn to drugs and alcohol to help them cope with the pressure, shame, loneliness and helplessness. Societal expectations and traditions encourage women to care for and nurture others, often at the expense of their own needs, identity and health.

HOLLY'S STORY

Each counselor and staff member seemed like they were hand picked to be at Hanley Center. Almost like a team of angels, my personal guardian angels full of love and compassion for me, they made me feel special and worthy of their love and support.

Hanley Center is both age and gender specific which also made me feel comfortable. When it came time for me to leave, I was ready. The staff at Hanley Center gave me the tools I would need to continue my journey of recovery outside of their safe, therapeutic environment.
